A fully handcrafted engraving project executed for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2014 Awards while working at Exquisite Glass & Stone, Inc. Each crystal glass component was engraved entirely by hand, translating FIFA’s official design into precise geometric form. The finished works were presented on the global stage at the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala in Zurich, becoming permanent artifacts of football history.
FIFA provided the official award layout and technical specifications. My role was to translate this design onto glass with perfect balance, clarity, and permanence.
Drawing from my background in geometric composition and architectural engraving, I carefully adapted the provided artwork to suit the behavior of crystal glass.
All engraving work was executed entirely by hand, using traditional precision techniques without automation, allowing full control over depth, symmetry, and surface integrity. Every line and proportion was carefully calculated to preserve the authority of the original FIFA design while elevating it through handcrafted execution.
